Spring Centers for First Grade

Hello there! Happy Spring! I sure do love this time of year 🙂

I wanted to pop in and share some of my newest centers! These centers were created with first graders in mind, but can definitely be used to differentiate for your “high flyers” in kinder 🙂 The themes are the same as the kindergarten centers, just with higher level skills! {Looking for spring centers for kindergarten? click here!}

Let’s take a look!

Growing Friendly Numbers-

Have your students practice counting by using using base ten blocks and match the leaf with the number on the flower.

Bye Bye Birdie- practicing solving equations with missing subtrahends and using word problems! This center is differentiated so some cards have the equation shown and some don’t!

Finding
Fireflies- identifying and sorting numbers greater than and less than 20.

One
of my most favorite math centers!! Flying Facts! The kiddos will add
bows to the kites using the correct facts. You could also turn this
center into a craft 🙂

Splashing Syllables- sorting spring words based on how many syllables they have.

Snug as a Bug- Sorting digraph words

Rain Showers- sorting pictures by digraphs

Blooming blends-

The kiddos will have their bees fly to the correct flower by sorting the ending blends.

My other favorite center! Flowery Sight Words- building sight words with the flower letters. Aren’t they just so cute?!

This little poster is also included! You can have this out to help your students with their sentences.
