More about this resource
First sound fluency is a way to measure your students’ understanding of initial sounds in words. As your students are working on developing this skill, here is a fun way to help them practice finding the first sound of a word quickly.
How to play:
Your students will roll the dice and say the beginning sound for each picture out loud on that line. You can have your students play in partners and take turns, or use it as a first sound assessment. An answer key is included as well so you can quickly check your students’ progress.
